Position Description
The City of Wichita is hiring a Utility Process Control Specialist. This is highly skilled, technical work to monitor and control production, pumping, and distribution systems to meet water drinking water system demands and water quality permit requirements. This position exercises a high degree of decision-making regarding water treatment, flows, and pressures, based on independent judgment on how to maintain multiple water quality parameters within regulatory limits.

High school diploma or equivalent educational attainment is necessary and two years of experience in water treatment and supply system operations or other industry in a position involving oversight of a treatment, production, or distribution process. Must have a Kansas Class IV Water Supply System Operator certification. If a candidate possesses a valid Supply System Operator certification from another state, the applicant must complete the reciprocal process within the first six months.

Pay Range
$32.58 – $39.56 hourly
