- Attend training, learn operations and maintenance procedures, and obtain an understanding of, and participate in reviews of BPU’s Risk Management Plan and Emergency Operating Plan. Must complete yearly refresher course and complete BPU’s OSHA training class.*
- Train on a variety of areas required in water treatment, including terminology, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), safety, and using bench top equipment. Testing for proficiency on the following areas is required.*
- Inspect and monitor Horizontal Collector Well facilities and equipment. Obtain readings and take local control of equipment and record data as required. Monitor water quality equipment and inspect facilities at the NWTP Plant as directed. Operate Pilot Plant filters and associated equipment locally as required.*
- Monitor and record data, perform inspections, change charts, operate process equipment locally, and check operation of auxiliary equipment as directed by the duty supervisor or Senior System Operator.*
- Monitor and record data and calibrate water process to ensure reliability, accuracy and proper calibration. Collect samples and perform bench-top water quality tests as required.*
- Perform general labor, clean-up, and housekeeping tasks as directed and assist maintenance personnel as directed.*
- Inspect performance of basin equipment and basin flushing drains as directed and assist maintenance personnel as directed on basin outages. Check and report operational problems on all processing equipment.
Pay Range
$34.44 per hour
