Engineering Technician I
WaterOne
Under direct supervision, provide detailed designs, cost estimates, plans, drawings, and evaluations of various types of water works improvement projects. Coordinate engineering and administration of construction between WaterOne and other utilities, engineering firms, developers, and public works entities. Operate in a consulting capacity to other departments on technical engineering issues when assigned.

- Review plans submitted by outside entities for new development projects and determine effects on WaterOne facilities.
- Initiate projects and perform design and estimate of water works facilities related to new development based on WaterOne standards.
- Communicate and coordinate with consulting engineers, fire protection entities, municipalities, and other utilities on issues related to proposed improvements to or relocation of WaterOne distribution system facilities pertaining to new development.
- Work closely with WaterOne construction personnel to ensure complete understanding of project intent and to resolve issues that arise during construction.
- Assist other departments by providing technical engineering opinions and data.
- Ensure all projects follow WaterOne Standards, Rules and Regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay Range
From $27.02 per hour
